Towering Sunflower

Created in the fall of 2024 by local artist Erin Smith Franczyk, the Rudbekia Hirta, aka Brown Eyed Susan, native to the Naperville prairie - stretches skyward, symbolizing growth and community. The colorful rings beneath it, each representing five years of Naperville's history, remind us of the city's continuing evolution. Across the background, are words radiating joy, creativity, and inclusiveness, inviting viewers to connect with these positive values. The mural invites you to step in and "hold" the flower, making you a part of the artwork itself.
