RIVERWALK PADDLEBOAT QUARRY
Light Anemones is an original artwork designed by German artist Malte Kebbel. Light Anemones is a kinetic light sculpture that transforms with time and space, reflecting the deep sea’s mystery through dynamic light, motion, and mirrored surroundings.
Light Anemones is a versatile kinetic light sculpture that evolves with time and space. Inspired by the world beyond the water’s surface, it brings the mysteries of the deep sea and the grace of underwater creatures to life. By day, its dichroic and holographic mirrors reflect sunlight and surroundings, casting vibrant, ever-changing patterns. As night falls, linear light beams unfold along rotating, concave, and convex structures, merging with mirrored silhouettes of nearby architecture, people, and landscapes. Each sculpture contributes to a synchronized symphony of light and composed sound, creating a multisensory experience of timelessness and immersion.
